Yoni Steaming helps nourish the soft tissues of the vulva and vagina due to being extraordinarily porous and can absorb the vapors of the steam quickly. The heat of the steam stimulates circulation and blood flow to the pelvic region; combined with the medicinal benefits of the herbs, it is known to nourish, tone, and cleanse the vaginal tissues of the pelvic area. 

Yoni steaming is believed to assist with various issues like PCOS, reproductive system stagnation, fibroids, pelvic pain, menstrual cramps, menopausal symptoms, heavy bleeding, infertility, vaginal dryness, dysmenorrhea, endometriosis, and are best used monthly as a vaginal toner. 

Recommend usage is once a month in the week before menstruation. (I personally like to do them during a full moon to make it more ceremonial, as I sip a warm tea listening to soothing music, surrounded by crystals.) If you intend to treat an issue, steaming can be done up to two times per month. (A week before and after your cycle.) 

It is common for cycles to be heavier or darker for the first month or two after you begin your yoni steam practice.
